Fine weather is not normally taken for granted in England, but so far this summer we’ve enjoyed some very fine gigs al fresco. Yesterday afternoon we had a perfect boat trip on the Thames. We’ve performed recently in shady college quads and in several open marquees. We did our French thing for Bastille Day, performed at a college leaving party, a village fete, a few weddings, as well as the usual round of jazz in pubs and pub gardens, including a particularly pleasant evening at the Feathers in Woodstock last week. The diary is busy for the weeks ahead and we’re in no hurry for this continental summer to come to an end.
