Dear Jazz Menagerie fans,
we’ve been having a fine autumn. It was great to be back at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford last week – and always a treat to have Alyn Shipton join us on bass. We’ve also been keeping our hand in the corporate scene with recent gigs for international law firm Weil – helping set the right tone to attract Oxford uni graduates, and also with local Law firm Freeths, whose events we’ve been playing at now for many years.
Though we’re not quite as young as we once were, we are thankfully still able to party. It was fun to play at the St Stephen’s house a few weeks back – helping young ordinands celebrate surviving freshers’ week. We’ve also played a number of private parties at the Mad Hatter pub, which is always a pleasure.
We are in the process of trying to remember the chords and lyrics to our Christmas repertoire in readiness for a number of festive dos that are in the book.
Season’s Greeting to you all.
