We had a lovely time playing at Oriel on Saturday – great weather, excellent strawberries, lots of nice comments from alumni. Thanks to Bobby and to the college porter for being so he helpful.

Great to be back at The Manor House Hotel, Castle Combe, Wiltshire this Christmas. It was the fifth year in a row we’ve performed there – a really quaint old hotel. Enjoyed playing some cool jazz last week at the Oxford Fashion Studio Show. There are some very creative young designers around. Nice to play with Ewen Baird (sax) and Steve Smith (double bass) amid the grandeur of Oxford’s town hall, particularly as it’s only a 5 minute drive away!
Really nice event last night in the main dining hall – possibly one of the nicest acoustics in Oxford – the quartet sounded great.
